Early Voting Opens Today!

And just like that, it’s time to vote, Ward 4! Early voting for the November 6th General Election is open today at Judiciary Square.

On Friday, October 26, early voting expands with satellite locations opening in every Ward. All locations are open 8:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. through November 2nd.

Here in Ward 4, the satellite locations opening their doors on the 26th are:

  1. Emery Heights Community Center
    5801 Georgia Avenue NW
  2. Takoma Community Center
    300 Van Buren St. NW

**IMPORTANT ACCESSIBILITY NOTE: If you want or need to vote by paper ballot, they will only be available at Judiciary Square during early voting. It’s stupid and favors one type of voter over another, but that’s the rule for now.

Haven’t registered to vote yet? You’ll probably be okay. You can register IN PERSON at the polls during early voting and on election day. You just need proof of address. That means:

  • Current and valid DC DMV-issued ID
  • Government check or paycheck  (issued within 90 days of Election Day)
  • Bank statement (issued within 90 days of Election Day)
  • Current utility bill  (issued within 90 days of Election Day)
  • Student housing statement/tuition bill
  • Homeless shelter occupancy statement
  • Lease
  • Other gov’t document
